Lacadaising Lustrous Linens
So my grandmother came to visit me last weekend. We had a really great time. I showed my grandmother around Columbia and my apartment. The prior she was not unfamiliar with… She and I used to come to Columbia from time to time once we decided that I would be going here. However, she had not yet seen my apartment, which she loved. The only part she said she did not like was my bed spread, so we went out and bought what you see on the left! It is so much nicer than what I used to have haha. The curtains make a big difference.
I will try to find a picture of what I used to have as my bedding.
We also ate at some wonderful places while she was here. Addison’s, Sophia’s, Tellers… Columbia actually does have some good places to eat. I do believe that the best place was Sophia’s. They have the most fabulous Humus; it is silkier than The Artisan’s and actually has a flavor to it!
Speaking of The Artisan…
I feel really bad because I am never there anymore. I guess I don’t feel bad in the sense that I should be giving them money ( often go there and drink water) but because it was such a large part of my last semester. I don’t think there was a single week last semester that I did not patronize this fine establishment. Sure their drinks are not the best, and the music can be too loud sometimes, and their humus is nothing to call home about (but we have already discussed that), the place just does something for me. It is my haven from everything else. I am hoping that I will have more free time to study there. I am planning on at least two hours there a week. Their Frappe’s are not that shabby!
