Brother Jed Smock

October 29th, 2004 | 2 Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Brother Adolf Jed SmockSo good ol’ Acacia brother, Will Gust and I watched a little bit of the notorious Brother Jed today. He started out saying that he approved of abortion. Anyone that knows of Brother Jed would be shocked to hear this… but then again, shock is something he provides nearly everyday to the University of Missouri, Columbia campus.

I have noticed that so much of what Bro Jed preaches about can be brought back to Adolf Hitler. They have the same arm gestures, believe in religious persecution. “All Muslims are going to hell,” Smock shouted, claiming Allah is a false god. To justify his words about Muslims, Bro Jed said that God gave him the right to preach about this. Maybe it is just me but does that sound like “I was sent here to purify the world of Jews, the pollution of our Earth”? I sure think so, of course I would because this is my blog and I can believe whatever I want just as long as I think it is believable. The First Hitler

Brother Jed just plain freaks my shit out. He is hilarious but at the same time that you are thinking that what he is saying is crazy… you realize that he takes it seriously. Mad theorists are only dangerous when they are brought together. Brother Jed has a huge following… enough that he brings in six digits a year, as per Bro Jed. He has said that he is not in favor of John Kerry for president for several reasons, but one of them was a tax on large financial gifts. That is what makes him scary.

These financial gifts are, according to Brother Jed, those exceeding $25,000. Someone is actually giving 25 grand to this man and that equates to an army of crazy Brother Jed followers. I would not think it outrageous to say that all of these donors and followers are likely stout Republicans. Damn those scary Republicans!

Good Morning

I just woke up… well about two hours ago. I slept so well last night. However, before I went to sleep (at 1:30 a.m.) I had to deal with betrayal by Jenny. I told her a secret and not 5 minutes later she told the person I was talking about. Not only that, but she exaggerated the situation. I have become really disappointed with Jenny in the past few days.

She has told Geoffrey stuff about Landon that is not true, she has told Katy stuff that I said that was and was not true and she has just overall, not been the best person. I am so tired of living here but what else can I do? I think our conversation last night between Jenny, Nissa and myself will help. Even still, I will start counting the days, and searching the papers, for a different, better place to live.

Now I must get ready for my 10:00 a.m. class. I really don’t want to go but I have to. It is never as bad as I seem to think it will be once I get there. I even enjoy it sometimes. We will see how it works out today. I am super hungry though… Hope I can make it to 11:00 when Geoff and I will hit up some dining hall for lunch. Ok, so I am out for now, buh bye!

Yeah, so we lost our volleyball game… not all that surprising. I sure would have liked to win but such is life… or is it suck is life? Anywho, I am off to bed to watch the end of Evolution with TLoML, Geoffrey. Hmmm, I can’t wait! He is in the other room getting our ice cream together… Moosetracks! Nothing is better than ice cream with Geoff.

Love to you all. Both of you.

CRAP! I just found out I have a volleyball game tonight. We have never practiced as a team, so I am just waiting to be slaughtered. Oh well, should be a fun, short, round of games. Maybe short… not sure how it all works out haha. I am going to hit up Volleyball.org and learn the rules. I have not played volleyball since I was in junior high! FUCK!

So I was just awarded a copy of w.bloggar 4.0b1 which is just fabulous. It is much better than the previous verson adding WordPress support. I had to kind of hack the old w.bloggar to get it to post properly. This one has a few new features and just seems super fabulous.

So we went to the Bob Dylan concert last night… for about five songs. The poor guy just can’t talk, way too many drugs I suppose. We were both pretty disappointed, however, it did allow us a trip to the mall to listen to one of his older CD’s that is just awesome. We got some Starbucks which was wonderful as always, looked at some books and I browsed some movies and music.

I really want to get the movie Elizabeth and French Kiss. They had the latter for $19.99 (way too much for an older movie) and the prior they only had as the History Channel documentary.

I found out about three new artists last night.

Charlotte Martin - On Your Shore

Lucia Micarelli - Music From a Farther Room

Skye Sweetnam - Noise from the Basement

I will investigate these three and let you guys know some more. Charlotte Martin has a free sampler cd at Barnes and Nobles. I picked it up and can say that she is probably buy-worthy.

What can I say? I really love beautiful, talented female artists! Girl Power!

So I just recently found out about this thing called TheFaceBook. I signed up for it and have connected with ten friends so far. Three of them are from Bellville, five of them are from Houston and two from Columbia… actually maybe I have more than ten because I can think of five from Columbia haha. I let everyone know I was gay, woot!

I promise more, but I am having coffee with Landon right now so once he gets back from washing the exploded pen from his hands, I will chat it up with him.

Ciao babes.

I love you g
