Even More Pictures!

February 15th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

So today was fun. Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Today we had lunch at this wonderful Thai place and then I was off to the concerts, but first I went home to my room to check my email and all that jazz.

Concerts galore, it was fabulous. Toby Lightman was there and awesome as ever.

So these guys might look dorkey but the lead guy playing the bag pipes is HOT!

That picture, and the ones following (mostly) are the guys of Lloyd Dobler Effect. They are awesome and very cute.

So he is from the Real World, no news there. He was sweet but not the brightest. Nice guy though.

So Ms. Richie was a fabulous drag queen I got to hang out with. I am working to get her out to Mizzou to MC one of the drag shows.

So after all of that excitement Emily, Lauren and I met up with Emily’s college friend Kenny and went to this awesome Irish pub. We had calamari (for the third time this week, w00t!) and some great authentic Irish beer. I had an Irish coffee followed up with this amazing Irish mixed drink that had wiskey and orange and… well about like five different other mixes in it… fabulous!

Kenny rocks my socks by the way.

Off to Brit’s, again. Tonight I started out with Scotch on the rocks followed up with a Gin and Tonic and two Madori Sours (yummy). Oh but get this right?

Emily is flirting with this hottie bo bottie right? Probably 6′3″, blonde, all muscle, in mid-twenties, etc. I bump myself into the conversation and he starts to stare at me right? Emily takes the cue and heads back to the fireplace and I spark up conversation with him, Kyle is his name. He is from Ohio and used to play baseball, you can totally tell by his body haha.

He is staying at the Holiday Inn, perhaps I will call him tomorrow. We shall see.

Another hottie, younger and smaller, gave me a red rose today, just randomly. It was cute and wonderful haha.

Oh and get this, about 20 compliments on my outfit today! w00t!

Bar Hopping!

So tonight was a blast. We left the concert early, Emily, Lauren, Scott and I, and headed out to a really chic bar at the Millennium. I had a wonderful Amoretto Sour… then we head to Brit’s where I had a nice stout Scotish beer and then a raspberry vodka drink, a wiskey sour and two (essentially) watermelon sours. The watermelon drinks were my favorite, they give Sunshine a reason to be a bit jittery!

Here are pics!

That is Mr. Belding from Saved By The Bell!!! How awesome is that?!

It is snowing here and just beautiful. Despite the pictures I showed early of the city, this place is very pretty

This is the inside of Brit’s, a fabulous pub.

Emily is in my arms, she is sooo mine tonight, w00t! haha

The final entrance to Brit’s. They tease you with like 5 different entrances before you actually make it to one that works haha.

The first Brit’s tease. This bar was so much fun! I met up with a guy that, for some reason, I knew the life story of. Well at least the past ten months. It kind of freaked him out but in the end he just starte talking to me more and asked me for some advice. I liked him quite a bit, a good fun guy. Straight but very cute and very fun.

I totally flirted hard core with this guy last night. He is so cute, even better in person, and just this sparkling personality. He gave me a copy of his cd which I am enjoying quite a bit.

Anyways, time for bed, catch you later friends!

Just a Few Pictures

Here are a few, small, pictures of some stuff so far :)

So they are small and what not, just a few pictures of what I have been doing… outside of the meetings. Today was crazy with rain, getting my bag’s contents stolen (well some of them) and the pointing fiasco (how do you spell that?! haha)

ok, time for dinner.

Mamma Mia… eBay grrr

February 13th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

So I had purchased Mamma Mia tickets last like September from ticketmaster.com for the KC showing right? Well I bought them because around that same time a year ago I had gotten the Mamma Mia CD for Geoff. I thought that going back to how things were before we ever had problems would help the relationship. I kept it a secret that I was going to break out as a Valentine’s gift for him.

Anyways, we all know how that worked out. So after he broke up with me I sold the tickets on eBay. I feel stupid because I should have just given the tickets to him instead but I guess I was just really upset. At least he could have enjoyed the concert with whoever he chose but I just hated the thought that he would be going with someone that was not me.

Oh well. Otherwise we would be heading off there right now. It is astounding how things can change so much, so quickly.

Most Amazing Time

I am having just the most amazing time here at NACA in Minneapolis. I will post more later but I have been to like 5 concerts and I bumped into the bands on accident, getting to hang out with them for like 15 minutes!

I love the gay ratio here haha. 1:4 w00t!

much love, gotta go to a meeting.
