ZzzzWonderful

June 29th, 2006 | 2 Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

Coffee with Geoffrey was absolutely fabulous.  We talked shit and shit talked.  One of the top five conversations of the month.

Yes! haha  I was so nervous.  Now I’m at Starbucks awaiting Jim and then off to Candice and then to hang out with Jim and then… haha, who knows.

But BAH!  I am being called in to work on Friday… booooooo!  1:30-5:30pm, that is not making me happy.  Boo.

I can’t say I’m not to some degree.  I have things on my mind.  I don’t like eating when there are things on my mind.  Just hanging out during my lunch with awesome people, love my regulars here and my co-workers.  This iced grande, blackberry green tea latte is delicious.  It should tide me over until my mind let’s my stomach do the digesting required for life. haha

Tomorrow I’m hanging out with Candice and for that, I am so thankful.  This girl always makes me feel like a star, plus I have so many fun stories to share with her, yay!!!

Ninah also rocks my life, we got pedi-mani’s last week… ummm, yeah, I miss getting those every Saturday in San Francisco; and I miss my weekly massage that followed the mani-pedi.  Oh Greg, I need your strong, magic hands!

Nine minutes left in my lunch, then I work until… six, ugh.  I wanna go home and play with my friends haha!  I have so many wonderful friends here, of all walks of life, even marsupial! (I swear)

Time to talk music with Eli or something like that.

Ciao babes

Showtune Tuesday

June 28th, 2006 | 1 Comment | Posted in Uncategorized

Ian, Kevin and I went to The Loading Zone for Showtune Tuesday.  Fabulous time, and interesting start to the night.

We were going to meet up with Ian’s ex.  A gay republican, right wing extremist.  YIKES!  The simple fun conversation about Laura Bush’s weed sells at SMU turned into a yelling match between the former couple that pretty much scared the crap outta Kevin and I! haha

Ian is a wonderful guy, I love his debates, I am very glad he is my friend.  Hilarious!  I enjoyed his simple vocabulary with this simple guy, the guy, yeah, he didn’t like that so much.  He was freaking out, sweating and screaming and about to blow a fuse.  I think he did actually.

Anyways, we got to the club, without the ex, and had a blast.  I had my usual sling of drinks, freaked out the bar tender and then called it good.  I think I will just give up the idea of alcohol effecting me.  Each time I drink, it requires just that much more to reach a fun level.  Expensive, not really.  I always get a good number of my drinks free.

Anyways, I hate talking about that kind of stuff, however it is something interesting to me.

Definitely Not a Leader of Prides

Well, we went to St. Louis Pride 2005 and… about what I expected. Of course, the clubbing was a blast, as crazy as it was, being left, finding cool people, bumping into random friends, dancing dirty with hot boys and girls… Fabulous time, despite the fact that on a scale of 1-100 of Prides, St. Louis Pride would probably get a 37, Columbia Pride a 15… San Francisco Pride was a solid 92, on my scale.

There were two weddings going on in front of our hotel.  How happy.

Jim loves his re-enacting of Defying Gravity from Wicked… haha, he did quite a nice job at it too!

These three guys are probably my best friends in Columbia.  Too bad Jeremy could not go with us :(  The pride was in Tower Oak Park, very pretty.

What would Pride be without flying noodles?

Here are some pics, right now the boys are waking up so I should probably go back to them and check on them in the hotel. Ciao! More later of course. Sorry about no update as promised the other day, my host, Dreamhost.com, was down for over 36 hours! Now it’s back and I’m ready to make some posts, as soon as I get back to Columbia.

I actually used some of these pictures as a proposal to my family to get a Nikon D200.  So far, not working (haha), though they did enjoy the pictures.

I Love Headphones and Coffee

I road my bike all over and only ran into one boulder.  Fun time on the katy trail.  Then to work for drink and then to Moe’s for lunch with Ninah and then to the Artisan for coffee and rest.

These headphones really do rock my world, and they are pretty to boot!  They sound fabulous, like a concert in my head.  I miss the transparency of my HD600’s but I an always enjoy those big boys at home.  I do every night now-a-days.  With the newest iPod firmware update, I found that I don’t need as badly, the amplifier to power these headphones.  Something to do with the new volume limiter?  Seems to put out more power?  Weird…

Took some random pics of myself, cause I’m random ya know…

Why am I so weird?  Oh yeah, that.

Been chatting with Landon, always fun.  I’m going to go visit him probably the third week in July, that will be lots of fun. Hopefully it will work out.  Then a few weeks later I’m hoping to make it to California for my birthday, see Seth, Kevin and Mike (!!!!!) and my old Starbucks crew.

Billie Myers’ song, Kiss the Rain just came on my iPod.  I love this song.  It is one of those songs Landon and I share.  Hmph.

Went to church with Jeremy yesterday.  I really missed that church, so peaceful, friendly and beautiful.  I’m glad to be back in Columbia, if not just for the church!  I’m also thinking about joining the choral group there.  I will see how next semester is going to shape up to make sure I have the time but I think it would be great for my growth and a fun time.

Well, I have work in seven minutes so I should probably just get off of this and post away.  I should be getting a lunch break, perhaps I will do another update then.

Work It Out

June 15th, 2006 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

I got my bike back today, the first time it has been working in a year.  As usual, Cyclex gave me a great deal, $55 worth of work for $38.  They always do that kind of stuff for me.

Afterwards, I hung out at Starbucks, did some work on my computer and chitchatted for a few.  I met up with Kevin and we went to the mall and shopped, shopped, shopped!  I got some workout shorts, a messenger bag, a hoodie, some rum and tequila, some novelty and a Rockstar!  haha.

As usual, we had a good time, then headed to the rec center.  It was my first workout in a long time so we took it easy.  Only 200 calories (in 30 minutes) on the eliptical, going to work back up to my 1200 cal in an hour… yikes!  I did abs, arms, gluts and chest.  The oblique machine was bizarre.  Either I don’t know how to use it properly, or it was poorly designed.  It kept ripping into my back, digging and hurting!

Never-the-less, the gym facilities are incredible.  The entire time I was there, I kept thinking about how Jennifer and Callie would love it.  Callie would probably go crazy in there.  Pics!

This is the cardio room

Here is the locker room, yes, that’s the locker room!  I’m a member of the Rothwell Club.  I have not used it yet but am ready to haha.

Finally, one of two (or three?) drink bars.  Smoothies, energy drinks, water, the works!

I almost forgot how amazing it was to go to a rich school, albiet an expensive one…  I love mizzou!!! Callie, MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!

Time to get cleaned up for SoCo, first time in forever.
