Sleepy, Love
I am about to head to sleep. Just wanted to say, once more, that I am in love with someone who has someone else in his life. Oh, it hurts.

I made this crucifix! Isn’t grand?

Now check out my new hair!
As winter continues to push autumn into last season, the beautiful crimson leaves of yesterday turn into the brown death of today.
Alas, in such desperate times, even in such desperate times, beauty can be found.

I got this autograph a few weeks ago when she was in town for a concert of hers. Her band came into my Starbucks, she was told I was a big fan and gave this to me after her concert. How cool is that?

I even got to sing a song of hers. She is an amazing woman and her band mates are incredible. Such nice people, so real and honest.
Found that leaf on my way to my car in East Campus the other day. It is a really small leaf, just a bit larger than a silver dollar. It is still absolutely gorgeous.
I have been running at max power all week, wearing me out I say! Last night though, after my math exam, I had some fun.
Saw Justin Short for a bit, a short bit. Then home where I watched this incredible movie, Breakfast on Pluto. What a fantastic movie.

Ian popped on by, we finished the movie and headed out to the Berg. It was a friend’s birthday there, her 21st. It was a good time indeed. Off to SoCo where we found ourselves at last call and drum roll please… a smoke free club!
What a difference it made for the club to be smoke free. I left there, not coughing, not smelly and not sick feeling. What a change. I am so happy they passed the smoking ban in Missouri. All those people against it… they annoy me. Some of my friends didn’t want this ban, citing their freedom to smoke. But does a freedom to smoke over power a freedom to breath fresh air? If the clubs would install some serious ventilation systems, perhaps their patrons could continue to smoke.
Smoking is not required for life, it in fact puts your life in danger. Not smoking does not hurt you, in any way. So that argument that it is your right just doesn’t fly. You can still smoke, just not inside of the club or restaurant. Besides, anyone knows that smoking gives you bad breath, no guy will want to kiss you at SoCo with nasty breath when clean breath is just around the dance floor. Smoking damages your taste buds, covering the flavors of the food that you just paid to enjoy.
I saw a few friends there, not too many though.
Today I am going to try and deal with my computer, maybe just buy it out right some how… Ugh.
I have lost the charger for my digital camera some how. I was hoping that I could drive around town and campus and take some pictures of the turning of the leaves and the beautiful blue skies… Darn. If I can get that Nikon D80 soon enough, I will be back in business, otherwise… Boo to that eh? So for now on, until I get the new camera and/or a new charger, all my pictures will be scanned art type. Like what follows below. What do you think?

We all are aware of my recent order of a 24″ iMac and Nikon D80, no?
How about these biscuits.
I go to TigerTech to check on the status of my order and they say to me, “Oh, yes, your computer arrived three days ago. We have called you but just get your voicemail”.
No way, I have gotten no calls and no voicemails.
Well anywho, I go to pick it up and as we are checking out they tell me they can’t find my financing form. Well of course they can’t, I never filled one out! They tell me to fill one out and in two or three days (business) I will get approved and I can pickup my computer.
Nope, then they see that I have been a student here for a few years and now I have to get a letter from my adviser stating that I will be at Mizzou for two more years. But there is more and turns out I probably won’t get approved. At all.
So I now have to scrounge up $2899 for the computer, $1399 for the camera and $400 in software. $4,600. Not really wanting to drop $4,600 just like that.
So let’s hope I can find the money. I have it, I just don’t want to spend it. I was planning on spreading this out over four payments, way more doable.
Oh well.

I have had such a wasteful day. I feel incredibly unaccomplished. I woke up late for class, missing my first two, of four, classes. That is unacceptable.
I ate breakfast and prepared a snack pack that would supply me with high protein, low calorie foods until dinner time.
I dined on this little baggie of goodness during my French lab, eating in the computer lab, shhhh! The class was good, I always get nervous in French, it mostly just doesn’t make sense to me.
Went to my sociology class and hardly paid any attention to the lecture. This has become quite a problem for me in this class. Maybe it is the terrible professor? Let’s hope I can make myself a little more involved soon.
I bumped into Ian who asked me out to a late lunch. I of course said yes because I wanted to hang out with him, though I had not planned on eating for some while. Oh well, it was worth it.
Got my eyebrows waxed, Ian watched. Walked him to class and then headed home. Got home and started up on Amazon.com and researching things to buy… I got two little things for my parents, I cannot wait for them to arrive to them in the mail. I picked up two things for myself as well, equally excited for these two items. One is the Griffin FireWave and the other a 1gb Sandisk Extreme III Secure Digital card for my camera, which is still on back order. Boo to that.
I spent probably forty-five minutes debating on 1gb or 2gb, on 133x or 80x speed, on Sandisk or Lexar… There are far too many options out there and far too few sites that actually give good evidence on one product over the other. Size was recommended by a great camera site and the brand was decided by the $15 rebate on the Sandisk, and my history with the company. Another great resource for me was this website that had a megapixel calculator that would tell you the picture size in both RAW and JPEG and how much space each card size would provide me with my camera. Exactly what I had been looking for.
I then spent like an hour looking at microphones. I want to start up a podcast again and I also want to dabble in recording me singing. I am thinking a Samson USB mic, CO1U or a CO3U. I was buying the CO1U… and then I thought, $79?! I could better spend this money somewhere else. I am going to wait on a microphone, get some recommendations. I am thinking that USB would best suite me since I don’t really want to buy a preamp and a microphone, too much money. These got great reviews so…
I should be working out or studying or doing homework right now but instead I am here. Boo! With that I am going to head out of here.
Much love,
-justin
