Currently: Avril Lavigne – Under My Skin – Freak Out

A recent report came out which is being used to give a push and reason towards the new abstinence teaching in high schools… Holy cow is it faulted.

Some of the claims made by the programs include: that a fetus at 43 days gestation is a “thinking person,” that a boy or man can impregnate a woman or girl by touching her genitals, that women who undergo abortion are “more prone to suicide,” that 10% of women who undergo abortion become sterile, that 50% of gay male teenagers are HIV-positive, that HIV can be spread through sweat and tears and that condoms fail to prevent sexually transmitted diseases 31% of the time when used during heterosexual intercourse, according to the report.

All I can say is double you tee ef.

Wait, I can say more.

  1. Gestation – not my “expertise” so I will let this one go, I do disagree hehe.
  2. Genitals – seriously now. If that were the case, why would it matter if a male’s penis never erected or if he was unable to produce sperm? All you have to do is touch it right? Shut up.
  3. Suicide – Simply not true, but again, I can’t prove it so someone else, go for it.
  4. Sterile – This depends on the age of the person getting the abortion and how many she has had. Mostly it matters if she had it done at a clinic or done by someone who was not a professional.
  5. 50% Gays – Ok that is total bullshit. 1:1000 college students has HIV (statistically… duh) and 1:10 people are gay (or otherwise sexualized). You do the math. Or look at it this way. I know something like 50 gay males and none of them have HIV (to my knowledge).
  6. Tears – HIV CANNOT BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH TEARS OR SWEAT! It has never happened, never never never never never. People have claimed HIV transmission is possible through oral sex, but this too has not happened and technically about a thousand times more risky than sweat or tears. Sodium can harm HIV, tears and sweat is full of sodium. I laugh my fucking ass off with that one
  7. 31% Fail – First, <2% of condoms break during sex and when they do, people are often able to put on a new condom before ejaculating. Second, 0-2% of condoms fail without breaking. I put 0-2% because there were two studies done. The prior study is a much better study but I want to put the highest number possible and that is 2% according to the two largest studies.

Bill Frist is a fucking idiot and being a doctor, he should have known better than to allow something like this to be published by the government. Well then again, he should also know better than to be a Republican.
