Revisiting Saudi Arabia

Decided I should probably actually start posting about my trip to Saudi Arabia last month. My Twitter friends seemed to really want me to do this and I feel like I’ve fallen behind on posting and sharing stuff that is going on in my life lately. Things just get so busy!

I’ve decided that I’m going to do this in series of short posts. I have so many photos to share and so many stories to tell. This photo came from our trip shark tooth hunting with some friends from our compound. Continue reading

Remember the Alamo

Saturday, after picking up my new iPhone 3G, Ryan, my dad and I met up with my mom at the Valencia Hotel on the Riverwalk.  From the hotel we walked down to the water to get some tapas.  They were tasty and the view was great.  I had not been to the Riverwalk in quite some time.

After the snack we took a stroll down to the Alamo and other similar sites.

We passed my great grandfather’s pharmacy and the old zoo that was indoors, like in a building downtown… how crazy.  If the bears got loose… holy shit!

Six Flags!

Now the good. We had an absolute blast at Six Flags St. Louis. The park was pretty much dead on gay day, which was kinda sad, but it meant no wait for the rides!

It was just Ryan, Jenny and I at the park.  Jeremy, his cousin and friend were on their own.

I had not been on a roller coaster in years.  Probably not since before high school, so this was going to be a lot of fun.  We road every ride, taking advantage of there being no lines.

After Six Flags we went to Jenny’s, took a nap, played with her puppy and then had a fantastic dinner with Geoffrey at this place called Duff’s.

Despite all the stress and trouble getting to St. Louis and getting around the city, we had a wonderful time.
