iPhone 2.0 Gives Wrong Location

Whenever I use iPhone 2.0 on my 1st generation iPhone to find my location, it says I’m in Florida.  Every time.  I have restarted, reformatted, driven 30 miles away from my home base right now… Still I’m in Florida and at the same address.

I’m in Texas.  Just ask BrightKite.

iPhone 2.0 – Installed

iPhone 2.0 has been installed early onto my iPhone.  It completely restores your iPhone and thus takes a good while to finish updating, a long good while.  At one point I thought I might have bricked my iPhone since this isn’t yet the official update (you have to force install it instead of a simple click).

How exciting!

UPDATE:
Every time I try to sync the iPhone, it spends nearly 45 minutes backing it up.  Every time.  Furthermore a few of the apps crash the iPhone, though a simple restart has fixed that issue.  Hmmmm.

iTunes 7.7 – Installed

iTunes 7.7 in Software Update, adds iPhone/iPod Touch App Store

So far I haven’t noticed any differences, however, the changes will most likely show themselves as iPhone 2.0 is released with the iPhone/iPod Touch Applications Store.

Am I missing anything, were there other changes?  And why is MobileMe still down?  Bah humbug.

UPDATE:

I found some updates.  Now you can control iTunes through your iPhone and iPod Touch.  This is amazing and wow, am I glad I didn’t pay for the software to do that called Signal.

Other changes?  Just a little downloading deal, not exactly sure what it does though, thoughts?

Download as available

Would this be for application updates?

So clearly Apple’s new MobileMe service isn’t working… I’ve gotten it installed earlier than it’s release so that is kind of expected.  Next up is iTunes 7.7 which will add the new iPhone features such as the Apps Store.
